Solid, Piper 180 airplane. - $29,500

3433 Total Hours, 1617 SMOH
Excellent, brand new Airtex Interior
Exterior looks great and still shines, but paint is older and has a few minor spots. Call for details. Plane has been hangered for last 5 years at least. Elevator bushings, jackscrew, etc, is tight and airworthy. Gear is in good shape. Minor crazing on wingtip plastic. Plane flies straight and true.
Avionics / Interior: Garmin SR40 Comm, King KX175B Nav/Com (with glideslope). KMA24 Audio panel, KXT76A Transponder. Airgizmo mount Garmin 296, with external TSO GPS antenna, AI installed. PSE Intercom. Wiring was refreshed four years ago by avionic professional, so under the panel is clean, no spaghetti. All working well. No autopilot installed.
Lycoming 0-360 A1A, 180 HP. Engine is very smooth running, no leaks. Compressions, 11 March, 2012: 75/80, 75/80, 74/80, 77/80. Excellent motor. Mags rebuilt four years ago, all new plugs 2011. No crank ad. Starts instantly every time, even in the cold.
Prop rebuilt 200 hours ago. It is a climb prop. I operate out of 1950' grass with 50' trees at the end of the runway without problems. It's a superb plane for short, high and hot while beating a 172N in cruise. Even Colorado in Summer is no problem. 75% Cruise is 132 MPH @ 10 GPH. A cruise prop would increase this number about 7 mph, but would increase runway required length.
It's possible to get a mogas stc on this plane. I only run avgas.
2011 annual (~$1000). I opted to install all new plugs, pre-need due to widespread failure of Champion Plugs in other planes.
2012 Annual (~$650). March 11, 2012, No issues
I have flown this plane all over the west, and I would not hesitate to go anywhere with it now.
